Convinced that all the lines of business and all the subsidiaries should be involved in innovation, RCI Bank and Services decided to offer a unique and inclusive experience to its employees over three days. On the first day, employees with ideas made one-minute pitches to all the participants in their respective countries, and a vote was then taken to choose the most compelling ideas. Then teams were formed, with each ready to move ahead quickly with one of the selected ideas.

Assisted by mentors from within RCI Bank and Services and the start-up ecosystem, the teams then took their idea into the project stage, making sure that it offered a response to customer needs. Altogether, about 30 prototypes were developed on the themes of new forms of mobility, financing and services, and customer experience.

On the third day, each team had four minutes to pitch their project to a local jury made up of members of the RCI Bank and Services executive committee, experts from the start-up ecosystem, entrepreneurs, and representatives of the Alliance brands. A winning project was selected in each country based on the level of innovation, its relevance to customer expectations, and the definition of the business model.

The next step? Each winning project will have the chance to be tried out in the RCI Bank and Services ecosystem.
