• RCI Bank and Services will relocate its head office and corporate activities to the 2nd arrondissement of Paris in January 2018.
  • This move helps meet the company’s growth and transformation needs.
  • RCI Bank and Services has chosen a central location in an ecosystem uniting the banking and insurance sectors and many start-ups.
  • The new property at 15 rue d’Uzès will offer a modern, more collaborative workspace that includes a space dedicated to projects.
  • The Noisy-le-Grand site will remain the headquarters of the DIAC and will be dedicated to RCI’s operational activities in France.

"We established a variety of partnerships in 2016 to support our strategy of developing mobility solutions and services to respond to our customers’ new ways of using them. Taking these challenges into account has been decisive in our choice of a location in central Paris, in a district already known as a haven for  start-ups, as well as banking and insurance partners." explained Gianluca De Ficchy, CEO of RCI Bank and Services.

A need for additional space to keep pace with company growth

Between 2014 and 2016, business growth was very robust: RCI Bank and Services’ average interest-earning assets increased by 30%, from €25.6 billion to €33.3 billion.

This development was paralleled by staffing increases in France for both the Corporate and DIAC business activities. Concretely speaking, in 2015 and 2016, 268 permanent-contract employees were recruited. These hires made it possible to meet the company’s operational-resource needs to support the strong business growth in France. They also brought new or bolstered expertise to the company’s skills portfolio, especially in the fields of digital, data, CRM, and payment methods. RCI Bank and Services will pursue its recruitment strategy in 2017.

Nevertheless, in 2016, the Noisy-le-Grand site reached maximum staff capacity and is no longer adequate to keep pace with either the organizational changes or needs of the company.

A chance to separate corporate activities from sales-related activities in France

Since January 1, 2016, RCI Bank and Services is one of the banks being overseen by the European Central Bank. This has spurred the company to strengthen its governance and further clarify the separation of roles and responsibilities between corporate functions and subsidiaries.

All the activities of France will remain in Noisy-le-Grand, while the Corporate teams will move to the new site in Paris.

The need for a central location within a new ecosystem

RCI Bank and Services is a major player in automotive financing, but the automotive sector is changing rapidly. The company must therefore undergo substantial changes and focus on being recognized as an innovative bank in tune with its customers, offering them automotive mobility solutions tailored to their needs. These are new challenges for the company.

Basing RCI Bank and Services’ head offices and corporate activities at rue d’Uzès in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris means the company will be centrally anchored in an ecosystem of the banking and insurance sectors and those of the net economy.

This new location will also enhance the company’s attractiveness, drawing fresh talent to both the new business activities and the firm’s more traditional expertise.

The Noisy-le-Grand site will remain the DIAC headquarters and will be dedicated to RCI’s operational activities in France.

A move to “les ateliers d’uzès” planned for january 2018

On January 13, 2017, RCI Banque signed a lease for “Les Ateliers d’Uzès”, a 7,570 m² real-estate complex located at 15 rue d’Uzès. The building is currently undergoing restructuring and will be delivered in September 2017, with an employee move scheduled for January 2018. The new property will provide a modern, more collaborative workspace that will include an area dedicated to projects.
